Und weiter gehts 😉 Nachdem Karin anfangs Jahr mit dem Sunday Dish durchgestartet ist und ich auch andere wie Habi (Recommended Readings) und Sprain (Sonntagslinks) oder das Fime (Weekendreader) mit ihren regelmässigen Leselisten gesehen habe, fand ich ein bisschen Anstoss meine Serie Angelesen zu reaktivieren. Eigentlich hätte ich viele Artikel, welche auf meinem Pinboard Account landen und lediglich ein bisschen Aufbereitung bräuchten.

The Raspberry Pi 2 is perfectly usable as a small, cheap, and portable desktop system, and the added power opens up a few doors on what’s is possible with a $35 computer.
Ich bin gespannt wenn ich dann mein erstes Pi 2 in den Fingern hab. Die 1er Version gefällt mir bisher sehr gut. Und mit Raspberry Pi’s hab ich da ja noch was im Köcher.

HTTP/2’s primary changes from HTTP/1.1 focus on improved performance. Some key features such as multiplexing, header compression, prioritization and protocol negotiation evolved from work done in an earlier open, but non-standard protocol named SPDY. Chrome has supported SPDY since Chrome 6, but since most of the benefits are present in HTTP/2, it’s time to say goodbye. We plan to remove support for SPDY in early 2016, and to also remove support for the TLS extension named NPN in favor of ALPN in Chrome at the same time. Server developers are strongly encouraged to move to HTTP/2 and ALPN.

Ab Version 6.8 soll OpenSSH ein neues Verfahren unterstützen, um neue Schlüssel auszurollen. Bisher war ein Schlüsselwechsel mit sehr unangenehmen Konsequenzen verbunden, weshalb er häufig unterblieb. So kommt es, dass viele Server immer noch mit alten, manchmal unsicheren Schlüsseln betrieben werden und sich neue Krypto-Verfahren wie das kürzlich eingeführte Ed25519 nur sehr langsam verbreiten.
Spannender Ansatz, ich hoffe das setzt sich durch.

In the long run there’s always something for people to work on and improve, but the introduction of this software layer makes we worry about mid-term employment 5-20 years out.
Derzeit ein grosses Thema. Was wird in den nächsten Jahren sein. Alles das derzeit über APIs direkt Menschen ‘fernsteuert’ wird in absehbarer Zukunft vielleicht durch Selbstfahrende Fahrzeuge (yay!) abgelöst. Eine Gute andererseits aber auch alarmierende Entwicklung.

Kurz angetestet, ziemlich brauchbar. Da wir bei Amazee Labs alle Passwörter über LastPass zentralisieren passt die App ziemlich gut in meinen Workflow. Es gibt noch einige Ecken die sich ein bisschen Buggy anfühlen. Ich denke aber das das in den nächsten Releases behoben sein wird. Die Applikation ist ein solider erster Wurf.
